Spring Forum 2007

DC

We have just got back from the 2007 Conservative Party Spring Forum. 7 of us went up to Nottingham this weekend and had a really great time!

On the political side we attended all the main speeches and forums. We even tried to contribute to a discussion on public health (they ran out of time and could not take our question!). What a change it is to be popular again – a huge media interest coupled with actually hearing real, sensible and relevant ideas from our Shadow Cabinet!

On the social side we had a very enjoyable time in the evenings with a TRG reception with Ken Clarke MP, England losing to the Welsh, curry, a Gala Casino, Nottingham’s Irish community making fools out of themselves and many bars!

A full review will be out in the next issue of our newsletter, or you can check out the special blog here.

UPDATE: various themes came from the Spring Forum and I will be blogging about them over the coming days.
