Spamalot Coconut Orchestra
Earlier today saw a break from exams when several UCL Conservatives went along to take part in a Guinness World Record attempt. As a bit of fun the cast of Spamalot were hoping to set a record for the largest Coconut Orchestra.Together with thousands of other people in Trafalgar Square, for St George’s Day, we sung and ‘clipped’ along to “Always look on the bright side of life”.
The last record was set in New York with around 1300 people and today we smashed that record with just over 4300 people taking part! On the political side we did have the pleasure of seeing the Mayor of London who gave a ‘lovely’ speech before being mocked by the commentator!
A fun evening and a nice break from revision! A video of the singing will be appearing on our new video blog soon, plus the usual photos. A group trip may be happening to the show before the end of term - more to follow on that…
