CF Action Day in Tooting

Conservative Future brought out 70 people to the streets of Tooting yesterday, delivering leaflets in various wards. The day was a roaring success, with thousands of envelopes going through voters’ letterboxes. These contained Mark Clarke’s leaflet on crime and a survey which will help the Conservatives gauge the support for their stances in such a key seat as Tooting.During the day Mark also announced that he will not be re-standing as CF Chairman because he wants to dedicate all of his energies to winning Tooting.
The excellent weather was a welcome help from the elements, a nice break from the days of pouring rain we witnessed in the past weeks. It also allowed us to use the comfortable beer garden at the pub, which meant we could get to know the other members of our teams better without having to shout over the pub noise.
Mark provided a great lunch and a very generous bar tab, which was a great way to wash down a hard day’s work. Post-campaigning discussion was conspicuously lubricated with glorious pitchers of Soames.
A big thank you to Mark, CF, Tooting Conservatives and all those who came out to make this action day a great success and a great step forward for the Conservative Party. We will definitely be looking forward to more campaigning and more socialising over Soames’.

It might be nice to now have a CF Chairman who isn’t out to preen in public and use the office for his/her own personal ends. I do doubt that very much though. I, as a Tory, sincerely hope he does not win Tooting. Vote Khan.
