I have displayed the quotes in an image to help people avoid the temptation to ‘copy’ and ‘google’.

  1. If we each answered just one - rather than all the ones we know - this’ll last longer. Ah, false economies, how I love thee.

The first one is possibly the easiest quote to identify since Churchill rambled on about fighting them in the supermarket aisles. To continue my form of identifying her quotes, it can only be Baroness Thatcher.

  2. Stuart Turner Says:

    1. Lady Thatcher
    2. Abraham Lincoln
    3. Lady Thatcher
    4. Winston Churchill

  3. My idea stood the test of time.

  4. well at least you had fun!

  5. Stuart Davenport Says:

I am amazed, someone wanted the glory more than Cooper for once (only joking Cooper…)! If you are going to continue this then I suggest that some kind of Cooperesque rules are brought in.

  6. Not a bad idea - will be used in the future!

But are you sure that Stuart’s answers are right?

  7. Stuart Turner Says:

I did not want to usurp mr Cooper and grab all the glory but when I made my post his was not on the site, note the times each one was added, they are both the same.

  8. The correct answers were:

    1) Margaret Thatcher
    2) Abraham Lincoln
    3) Margaret Thatcher
    4) Winston Churchill

Well done to Stuart and Oli - format will change next time under sensible suggestions.
