The Taxpayers’ Alliance

TPA

If you attend our events you have probably noticed a very short man who attends and causes trouble! Well his name is Tim Aker, and he is in fact a great guy, but also the Grassroots Coordinator for the Taxpayers’ Alliance (TPA). For those familiar with the group skip ahead to information on joining.

The TPA is a terrific group that is now getting the recognition it richly deserves. Founded in 2004 to represent taypayers and to fight for lower taxes it. The have some basic aims:

  • To reverse the perception that big government is necessary and irreversible
  • To explain the benefits of a low tax economy
  • To give taxpayers a voice in the corridors of power

To this end, the TaxPayers’ Alliance will:

  • Oppose all tax rises
  • Oppose EU tax harmonisation
  • Seek the abolition of inheritance tax
  • Criticise all examples of wasteful and unnecessary spending
  • Champion opportunities for votes on tax and spend

Every year they publish ”the bumper book of Government waste” plus this year the TPA playing cards, which some of you won at the TRG quiz a while back! They also have a very good blog, which has now got a place on the front page of our one!

I can’t recommend this group more and plead with you to join and support them - membership is FREE so don’t miss out and sign up here.  Watch the video below to see a campaign ad put out by the TPA. JOIN UP NOW!
