Section 2: Increasing Financial Resources for Conservative Future

Attract new donors
CF has limited, as most organisations, financial resources. The NME and I will work to attract new donors for Conservative Future on a national basis, but I want there to be an increase in local sponsorship. Local branches, working with their constituency associations, should be able to raise sponsorship at branch level – the NME will work with the CF Area Chairman to help find potential sponsors. The NME and I will also seek specific sponsorship for the National events (see section 6) I will also fight hard for a fairer share of resources from the Party but approach any deal as a business venture. We need to professionalise our approach and methodology.

Sponsorship for National Events & Attracting New Members
The Party has been missing a huge opportunity by not recognising the significant role that CF plays in supporting the Party. Most Party members will have been part of CF before moving up with age. I want the Party to realise this role and therefore pay us in the long term, for every member we get – this would have to be a member with both a home and term address registered. At the beginning for the CF year I would establish a required membership gain, with the Party leadership, for the year. If we surpass that then the Party should give us extra resources. It would also allow us to prove CF to be the significant force we know it is, and deserving of the resources we would get from the Party. An effective CF will attract more members and therefore receive more money from the Party.

Increasing membership
The implementation of these plans will provide the support necessary for us to take CF to the next level, becoming the organisation needed to support the leaders of tomorrow with a professional, long-term strategy.
