Introducing the Committee p.5

Soc. President this year is Will Hall:

“It was a great pleasure being a part of the Society last year during the General Election. This year we have different challenges to face and an (almost) completely different set of faces on the Committee to meet them. With freedom of speech being violated on a day to day basis on campus and a Union that is beaucratic and wasteful there has never been a better time to step up and join our campaigns, activities and debate. I made some of my greatest friends at Uni through the Society and have been able to take part in activities that would have not been possible were it not for the Soc. If pushed to do something as regrettable as apply a political label I would classify myself as pro-liberty and anti-ideology with a passion for boats, debating, cooking and Italian culture. If you see me on campus and I look sad its almost certainly because yet again the left-wing cadre at UCL has smugly spent our money on making themselves feel important. Come debate, come learn and – most importantly – come get involved.”

In the interest of free speech, these comments are unmoderated. Please do, however, bear in mind the words of Lady Margaret Thatcher: "If they attack one personally, it means they have not a single political argument left."
