Hon. Nicholas Soames MP
Nicholas Soames Member of the Executive of the 1922 Committee & MP for Mid Sussex was created Life President of UCL Conservative Society in February 2005.
Nicholas, who is the son of the late Lord Soames and grandson of wartime Premier Sir Winston Churchill, has been a Member of Parliament since 1983 and served as Minister for the Armed Forces from 1994-7.
From 2003 to May 2005 he served as Shadow Secretary of State for Defence and as a member of the Shadow Cabinet.
