Macmillan Cancer Support Cake & Coffee Sale

The coffee & cake sale on May 1st, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, was a huge success. It was great to see so many Society members giving up their time to help with this fantastic cause whilst also providing a great service to students while the UCL Union shut its doors on students during the exam period. The stall received support from staff and students alike and was even visited by the provost, Malcolm Grant. The sale raised over £600 for Macmillan, a fantastic achievement.

The events surrounding the charity event were covered by the Huffington Post, you can read their coverage here:

Thanks go to Louisa Townson for organising and planning the event and for sourcing cake and coffee donations, as well as all the Society members and others who helped man the stall during the busy morning.
