Port & Policy – February 21st

UCL Conservatives invite you to come an enjoy our next Port and Policy debate on the headline issue at the moment, health reform. It will be a night of drinks and debate for you to delve into, with a few driven and determined speakers thrown in too. The event will be held on Tuesday February 21st at 6pm in the Archeology Lecture Theatre at 31-34 Gordon Square.

The motion up for debate is “This House has confidence in the 2011 Health and Social Care Bill” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_and_Social_Care_Bill_2011).

On the night we’ll be discussing probably the most controversial Bills and policy agendas in this parliament. Not only will speakers give you a good overview of the impact the changes will have for the National Health Service, the role of increasing private investment and involvement, the role of the Health Secretary and GPs, and altogether whether the welfare state needs to be reformed at all.
